Problem

Reading a year of bank statements by hand is slow and error-prone.

What I built

I built StatementIQ, a browser app that parses bank statement PDFs in HDFC, ICICI, SBI, Axis and Kotak formats with pdf.js and categorises every transaction.

It turns them into a dashboard with income and expense breakdowns, party ledgers, recurring payments, self transfers, large transactions, monthly summaries and a potential-taxable-income view.

Everything runs client-side in vanilla JavaScript modules with Chart.js, and data stays in the browser's local storage. No statement is uploaded to a server.
